It's not every day you get the opportunity to have the Prime Minister address and meet an intimate crowd of local business people in Whanganui. It's also not every day that a Three Keys event attracts a crowd of protestors. But all views were welcomed, constructive discussion encouraged and biscuits eaten.
Prime Minister John Key gave an overview of the economic status in New Zealand and candidly answered questions and concerns specific and topical to Whanganui's business community. Such as; funding for the velodrome, the port and whether Air New Zealand will acknowledge flights being available to and from the city via Chatham Airways.
Discussion continued as the Prime Minister stayed to talk individually with members. We're excited at the good conversations this event fostered and grateful to the Whanganui Events Trust for enabling the beginning of Three Keys in Whanganui.
